Public Engagement in Mental Health Research

Join the BMY Health Public Engagement Forum for Mental Health Research (PE-MH)

If you have lived experience with conditions that affect mental health and related health services in your community (in Pakistan or Canada), and you want to make a difference through research, then engage with us. BMY Health wants to hear your voice! Our Public Engagement Forum for Mental Health Research invites patients, caregivers, and community members to help shape research, making sure it reflects real needs and produces meaningful outcomes.

How can you shape Research?

  • Use our Discussion forum (see the button below) and communicate research needs of your community, Advise on research priorities and study design. Discussion Forum Timings: Friday 10-11 pm Pakistan/ 9 to 10 am Vancouver Canada.
  • Patients identified with different mental health conditions or their care-givers can join as Patient Representatives for Disease Groups for guiding research for a specific mental health condition, join our research ethics boards, review study materials and help improve clarity, or share insights to guide analysis/ dissemination. 
  • No academic background needed. Training, support, and flexible participation options are provided. Patients/ care givers engaged throughout the research as Patient Representative for Disease groups, can join as co-authors in our publications, where they fulfill our authorship criteria, and get honorarium for their participation.
