BMY Health Research Mentoring Program
A joint initiative of BMY Health Canada and
BMY Health Pakistan
Program Details
This program is open to health researchers worldwide through collaboration between BMY Health sites in Canada and Pakistan. The Canada site provides training materials, workshop recordings, research standards, and a certificate of workshop completion upon passing the post-test. Pakistan site offers the internship, where teams of around five interns work under mentorship on a research project leading to publication in a medical journal. Internship certificates are issued by BMY Health Pakistan upon successful completion, which requires manuscript submission, the post-test, and at least 75% attendance in weekly meetings.
Designed to provide hands-on training in research, this 18-week online mentoring program supports interns in developing a complete study, with outcomes expected in the form of a group-authored publication with interns and mentors as authors. The scope of research includes primary studies (cross-sectional, cohort, case-control studies, qualitative, mixed-method designs) and secondary analyses, excluding systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Besides this cohort based time bound program, we are also offering a new flexible model for interns and mentors who require more flexibility in program duration and oversight (GFM). Under this GFM, we have some unique new projects for Digital Health Research. Check details on this page below.

This Program is a capacity-building initiative designed to provide mentorship opportunities for healthcare professionals. It is not an academic course and is not accredited for CME hours.
The program fee is symbolic, and not a true cost of training, but only enough to ensure commitment, reduce dropouts, and cover basic costs. Mentors contribute their expertise for a small honorarium, reflecting the collaborative rather than commercial nature of mentoring. Participants are strongly encouraged to approach the program with a spirit of collaboration, mutual learning and growth, rather than viewing mentorship as a transactional service, with one sided expectations.
A final certificate is issued only upon successful completion of all milestones, which requires active effort by interns. Registration confirms access to resources and mentors, but interns must actively engage in learning, respect mentors’ guidance, build relationships, and participate fully, to complete the milestones and be eligible for the certificate.
Once you are sure this program fits your needs, please fill this form. Provide as much information about your research interests and expectations as possible for us to know how well you fit with this program and in making teams for projects upon selection. After selection you will be asked to submit training fee to confirm the registration.
Unemployed members or undergraduate students can avail flexibility of payment in installments. There’s a limited quota for this offer.
